PPL (People) Agency has partnered with a leading innovator in the luxury home appliance sector, General Electric (GE) and we are looking for a motivated and experienced individual to join our dynamic online sales and marketing team. Our client is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge, user-friendly products that enhance the lives of their customers.

 

As an Online Personal Shopper, you will play a key role in delivering outstanding customer service and sales support. You’ll assist customers with their inquiries, promote exclusive benefits, and ensure an exceptional experience from start to finish, whether it’s via chat, email, or phone. You will also manage customer data and follow up on warranty timelines to maximize sales opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

 

  1. Customer Support: Provide outstanding assistance to customers via chat, email, and phone, addressing questions and concerns about products, orders, and services.
  2. Exclusive First Responder Discount Promotion: Actively inform and raise awareness about GE’s exclusive discounts for first responders, including government employees, teachers, nurses, and doctors, ensuring this benefit is clearly communicated.
  3. Warranty Engagement: Proactively reach out to GE customers before their warranty expires to inform them of available options. Effectively manage and track customer information using HubSpot CRM, including checking the remaining time on warranties.
  4. Sales & Performance Metrics: Maximize sales conversion through excellent customer service, timely follow-up, and product knowledge. Track key performance indicators (KPIs), including call-to-sale ratios, customer feedback, and the success rate of reaching out to first responders.
  5. Sales Cycle Management: Manage the full sales cycle by assisting customers with pre-purchase inquiries, processing orders, and supporting post-purchase needs, including scheduling deliveries and handling service requests.
  6. CRM & Database Management: Maintain accurate customer information, follow up with leads, and ensure CRM records are up-to-date, tracking all interactions for future business success.
  7. Collaboration with Teams: Work closely with E-Commerce, Marketing, and other teams to understand sales goals, product positioning, and market trends, ensuring communication is aligned with the company’s business objectives.
  8. Customer Satisfaction: Ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction by addressing issues promptly and going above and beyond to exceed expectations. Monitor customer feedback and respond to reviews based on company policies.
  9. Promotional Awareness: Stay up to date with promotional opportunities and help customers get the best value on their purchases.
  10. Agency Outreach: Initiate cold calls to raise awareness about our services among potential business partners and promote exclusive deals to targeted agencies.

 

Nice to Haves:

  • Post-secondary degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field (preferred, but not required)
  • Proven track record of success in sales or customer service
  • Experience in inbound call-center or customer service environments
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to exceed sales goals
  • Experience with CRM systems, ideally HubSpot, is a plus

 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of customer service or sales experience
  • Bilingual in English and French (preferred but exceptions will be considered for the right candidate)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, with proficiency in various online platforms and office software
  • Reliable home internet service and a quiet home office space to work from
